We remove all cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and hardware before painting begins. Countertops, floors, and appliances are covered and protected before any work starts.
We apply a coat of primer rated for the cabinet material being painted. Priming is not optional—it determines how well the topcoat adheres and how long the finish holds up.
Kitchen cabinets build up grease, cooking residue, and grime over time. All surfaces are cleaned and degreased before sanding begins to ensure proper adhesion.
Cabinet doors and drawer fronts are spray-painted in a controlled setting for a finish without brush marks. We apply multiple coats with proper dry time between each coat.
Every surface is sanded to create a profile that allows the primer to bond properly. This step is done by hand and with orbital sanders depending on the area.
Once the paint has cured, doors and drawer fronts are rehung, hardware is reinstalled, and the kitchen is returned to working order.
The shift in a kitchen after cabinet painting is significant. Kitchens that looked dated with honey oak or worn white cabinets take on a completely different character with a fresh coat of paint.
We have worked on kitchens in Pittsburgh from smaller row homes to larger suburban properties, and the results hold across cabinet styles and kitchen sizes.
We use products formulated specifically for cabinetry, not standard wall paint
Cabinets that were properly cleaned, sanded, & primed hold paint significantly longer

Most kitchen cabinet painting projects take three to five days from start to finish. Larger kitchens or those requiring additional prep may take slightly longer.
You do not need to empty the inside of the cabinets. We work on the exterior surfaces, doors, and drawer fronts only.
In most cases, yes. The kitchen will be partially out of commission during the day, but evenings are typically fine once the day's coats have dried.
With the right prep and paint, the finish on painted cabinets is difficult to distinguish from factory-finished new cabinetry.
We work with Benjamin Moore Advance, Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel, and other products formulated for high-traffic surfaces.
